How The Microdive Training Programme Works

The Microdive training programme consists of the following components:

A manual which contains knowledge base information, student training summary form, quiz section and additional coursework forms, a DVD which contains video sequences of skill demonstrations and an assembly manual.

It also includes an answer pack, which has a security seal. This must be intact when presented to your instructor for you to be able to continue on the training programme.

Follow the 3 steps below, which have been designed to allow you to carry out each stage of the programme at your own pace.

Microdive Training Course Manual

Step 1:

Fill in your details on the student training summary form. Make sure you enter all of the information requested, including your unique student number.

Read through the knowledge base information provided in the manual, watch the video demonstrations on the DVD and then answer the questions in the quiz section.

Step 2:

learn to dive in the pool

Locate a dive shop or a private scuba instructor who you wish to conduct your in-water skill assessment. Give the instructor a set of standards and procedures, a personal medical questionnaire and a liability release form from the back of your manual.

Go through a review of the questions you have answered in the quiz section of your manual with the instructor. He or she will review your answers using the information provided in the sealed answer pack. You may be offered remedial assistance to confirm your thorough understanding of the knowledge based information posed in the questions.

Once completed, you will be ready to do your in-water skills assessment with your scuba instructor.

Step 3:

sea diving

Locate a dive shop or private scuba instructor who you wish to conduct your three 20 minute qualification dives. Give the instructor a set of standards and procedures, a personal medical questionnaire and liability release form from the back of the manual.

Complete your three dives under the supervision of your dive instructor.

Qualification Procedure:

diving certification

You or your instructor may then fax or post the completed student training summary form to Microdive Ltd who, on receipt, will e-mail a temporary certificate to you followed by a qualification card and certificate of completion to the address you have provided, confirming you as being a qualified Microdiver.
